Located at 123 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD, County Line...AKA The 20 1/2 Mile House is more than just a restaurant—it's a gathering place that embodies a charming small-town vibe. As a food reviewer for Menustic, I am excited to introduce you to this hidden gem that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
The moment you step inside, you're embraced by a cozy atmosphere and friendly faces, creating a sense of belonging that is often hard to find in larger dining establishments. The decor and ambiance evoke a hometown feel, where regular patrons greet each other like old friends. According to customers, the service here is both attentive and personable, making every visit feel special. Reviewer Nancy Courpas raved about the incredible recommendations from the staff, particularly for the wings, shrimp burrito, and fish tacos. The praises continue with mentions of a memorable Monday night when chef Nacho's homemade sauce dazzled the taste buds of many.
The menu at County Line is filled with classic pub fare that is bound to satisfy. Highlights include their famous honey Old Bay wings—an obvious crowd favorite, as noted by many patrons. Furthermore, the range of sandwiches, such as the Turkey Bacon Cheddar Melt and the popular Guidos burrito, has won over even the most discerning diners. With generous portions at reasonable prices, it’s no wonder that Linda Shriver-Buckner described the wings as a “10 out of 10.”
Beer enthusiasts will also be delighted by the extensive selection on tap, and many customers have enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere that comes to life during warm seasons with outdoor seating options and cornhole games. Kevin, a frequent visitor, emphasized the great value and the camaraderie that turns a simple meal into a cherished experience. Trivia nights and special events add to the excitement, drawing in crowds ready for good food and cheer.
In conclusion, County Line...AKA The 20 1/2 Mile House offers a warm welcome, delicious food, and a community feel that is difficult to replicate. If you’re in the Hampstead area, make sure to treat yourself to an unforgettable meal and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a cozy dinner or a quick bite with friends, this charming spot has it all.

Wow, my husband and I stopped in for wings and decided to get a shrimp burrito and fish tacos due to our awesome waitress’s recommendation. Well we were not disappointed!! Apparently Nacho is the chef on Monday nights and makes his own sauce. I can’t wait for next Monday because I can’t stop talking about our meal! If you haven’t tried County line I highly suggest you do! BTW the wings are amazing too!

Stopped in for a quick bite last week with some clients and just had to come say I love this place! I have been in a few times over the last couple months and have never been disappointed. Small, cozy place with a small town atmosphere. Food is always amazing and the servers are always so friendly! I got my usual Turkey Bacon Chaddar Melt but the burgers and wings are always awesome, too! My clients were also very impressed and are happy to have found a "new" spot!

What an awesome hidden gem! My wife and I had heard about them from a friend but just finally had a chance to stop in for the first time last night. We had the honey old bay wings and each had a burger, one with fries and one with onion rings. Everything was delicious! (And they had amazingly great prices) They had a HUGE beer selection and my wife enjoy the salt? wine. Staff were all friendly and although they were very crowded when we got there it seemed all workers helped pitch in to take care of us. We heard the bartender was a guest bartender and that they were a little extra crowded due to that but it was all still great and food came out pretty quickly considering how busy they were. We will definitely be back soon and hopefully the weather will be warmer so we can enjoy sitting outside which we heard was an option, along with cornhole in the warmer months! Also, very fun hometown vibe. Most people all seemed to know each other but we were treated as if we were regulars! A+

This place has a great relaxing vibe and the service was a hometown feel. My friends are regulars; however, this was my first time. The food ... It was fantastic. I had the Old Bay Seasoning Wings. Definitely a 10 out of 10 and I will definitely be back and recommending! I’ve never seen such a long list of choices for beer. My friend always gets the special; however, I like trying something different. I highly recommend.

I don’t review things online. But this is a place I go to all the time. It really pays to return to a familiar place often. It extends beyond just “a local bar:” It becomes familiar and friendly places. County Line is not exception. The food is fantastic and at reasonable prices. I personally love the wings, Guidos (the main man’s grandfather’s) Burrito, The Sticky Chicky (aka Robert’s sandwich), the tacos, the shrimp and the best club sandwich around. All the sides and appetizers are great. All simple, very classic, good portions and priced well. This includes the French fries, onion rings, cheesesteak egg-rolls (yum), etc. The beer prices are great. They always have some sort of special. And if not, YOUR beer is still cheapest in town. The staff is fantastic and the owner is a great guy. During warm season we stay outside, which is very nice. For all Ravens fans, this is a Ravens bar, and they open up for Ravens Sunday games. Get there early as it gets packed. Trivia night on Tuesdays. A+ place and not much more to say.

The total dive bar atmosphere, food and beers were well priced, cozy down home feel, and super friendly staff. This is the best place to lie about traffic while you enjoy a happy hour before going home.
